Audition Requirements

At your audition, I will hear some vocalises, some pitch patterns, a sight-reading excerpt, and your prepared excerpts. Please download a PDF of the audition excerpts using the button below. Please learn your voice part for each selection. Only learn the selections from the concert(s) for which you would like to be considered. You may use your own personal score for the audition. The excerpts are as follows:

For January:
1. Rheinberger Mass in Eb Major: Cum Sancto Spritu (end of Gloria) and Dona Nobis Pacem (end of Agnus Dei). (Please prepare your part in either choir 1 or 2 according to your preference.)
2. Brahms: Warum? Op. 92, No. 4. (complete)

For April:
1. Choose a spiritual and sing 2 verses in a key of your choosing without accompaniment.
2. Learn the first of Poulenc's Chansons Françaises, "Margoton va t'a l'iau" (complete)
